Aims & Objectives
The aim of the course is to further instruct a trained Operator to safely operate their specified categories of MEWP to an advanced level.
At the end of the course the Operator will:
- 
		Be aware of the importance of attitude and behaviour to working at height. 
- 
		Be aware of the importance of checking a risk assessment against the actual site. 
- 
		Be aware of the implications of siting the machine in differing positions. 
- 
		Drive the MEWP safely and manoeuvre the machine as required, to correctly position and carry out the required tasks in a range of difficult and challenging scenarios 
Course Content
- 
		Facilities, PAL+ overview, attitude during entire day to be graded. 
- 
		What happens when it goes wrong - Accident analysis. 
- 
		Human behaviour - Human factors, permit to use and worker involvement. 
- 
		MEWP categories and selection 
- 
		Operator training vs. Familiarisation 
- 
		Operator daily inspection 
- 
		Pre-use checks and defects. 
- 
		MEWP personal fall protection 
- 
		Safe operating methods and hazard awareness
