Legionella Awareness E-Learning

An awareness course designed for those responsible within premises that have water systems which could be at potential risk of Legionnaires disease.  On completion you will have an understanding on what is required to minimise the risks of legionella bacteria in water systems, so those who may be exposed to legionella risks are protected.   This is an online theory course with a multiple choice exam at the end.

Aims & Objectives

To provide information on the legal requirements for legionella testing and to gain an understanding of the potential health hazards. Provide information on the maintenance and record keeping requirements

  • Understanding conditions and temperatures

  • Legionella risk assessments

  • The role of the competent person

  • Checks and registers

  • Procedure

  • Training requirements

At the end of the course there is a multiple choice exam. 

Approximate duration of the course including the exam is 30-40 minutes. Delegates will be allowed two attempts to pass the final exam.  If unsuccessful after two attemps they will be required to purchase the course again and re-sit the exam.
